Salem Rezek is a London-based cameraman with extensive experience covering conflict in Syria and Iraq, and the rise and fall of jihadist groups.

Born in Syria but raised in Baghdad, Rezek has an extensive network of contacts across the Middle East and has played a key role in many pieces of award-nominated journalism, including the Guardian‘s ISIS: The Inside Story and his own film, Syrian Rebels Advance, which was nominated for the 2015 Rory Peck Award.

Salem is HEFAT-trained, and fluent in both Arabic and English. He shoots on a CANON C100 and SONY A7 SII, and has a full video kit. He is currently based in London, and available for assignments in the United Kingdom, Europe, and select countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
